DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Trinity River Near Long Lake (Oakwood) affecting Anderson, Freestone and Leon Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River near Long Lake (Oakwood). * WHEN...Until Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 42.0 feet, Moderate flooding of numerous ranches along the river is expected. The Coffield Prison farm and ranch lands will be moderately flooded. At 45.0 feet, Major flooding of ranches and farm lands along the river is expected. The Coffield Prison farm and ranch interests will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 44.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 45.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday morning and continue falling to 34.8 feet Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 35.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 44.9 feet on 02/23/2001. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Evaporation is the transformation of liquid into gas, and it happens because
molecules are excited by the application of energy and turn into vapor.
In order for water to evaporate it has to be on the surface of a body of water.

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.
