AREAS AFFECTED: Coastal Del Norte
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. * WHERE...Del Norte Coast. * WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A prolonged period of strong winds is expected to continue through Sunday morning. Winds will increase to up to 50 mph today, peaking up to 60 mph tonight into Sunday.
INSTRUCTION: People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
